Ballet II- Ages 6-8-Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. Classes begin at the barre where students perform movement sequences to develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. These skills are reinforced through center and across the floor combinations. Classical technique and vocabulary are taught.
Ballet III- Ages 8-11 Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. Classes begin at the barre where students perform movement sequences to develop strength, coordination, balance and proper alignment. These skills are reinforced through center and across the floor combinations. Classical technique and vocabulary are taught. Technique from Ballet II is built upon in this level.
Jazz II/Lyrical II- Ages 6-8-Jazz is an upbeat/classical style of dance which teaches students leaps and turns. Lyrical dance (which is born from jazz technique) is also introduced in this class. Lyrical dance allows students to express emotions through performance and tell a story through dance.
Beginner Hip-Hop- Ages 6-8- Breaking, Popping, Locking, Isolations, Freestyle, Grooves, and combinations are taught in this upbeat class. Some of our Hip-Hop classes introduce students to Break Dancing.
Acro II- Ages 6-8- The foundations of tumbling are built upon in this level and kick overs/walkovers are introduced to students who are ready in this level.
Tap- Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap.
Poms- Pom combines elements of cheer and jazz. Students will work on dance combos, cheer and jazz jumps, partner stunting, flexibility, arm motions, and chants.
Musical Theatre is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. This style is great for students who have an interest in performing in plays and theatre as they get older.
